Text Box: BD- And what is in the future for Motor City Makeup? What can we look forward to?
Natalie- "Look for new products such as lip pencils, eye pencils and mascara. Motor City Makeup is looking to expand upon our retail locations this year.  Keep an eye on Motor City Makeup….we plan to take the beauty industry on a wild ride!"
Text Box: BD- What is your favorite Motor City Makeup product?
Natalie- "The weather is getting warmer in Detroit and I’m geared up for summer! I’m lovin’ my pineapple flavored Vitamin E Lip Balm “Rag Top”.  It reminds me of a fun summer day driving in a convertible!  For a night on the town, I love to wear “D-Town Diva” Lip Gloss.  It is a very wearable shade of classic red."
Text Box: Text Box: BD- Are women responding well to the uniqueness of the packaging?
Natalie- "Yes.  Yes.  Yes!  We have been overwhelmed by the positive response of our packaging. Our products have been purchased by everyone from preteens to grandmothers.  I really hate to toot my own horn, but I have been even more proud that customers are also impressed with the quality of our product.  Our lip glosses contain soothing ingredients like Vitamin E, Tiara Flower and Rose Hip Oil. So, not only are Motor City Makeup lip products cute, but they also wear well.  Cute packaging and great products…we’ve got both!"
Text Box: Text Box: Text Box: BD- Your packaging is adorable and unique, what inspired it?
Natalie- "Thanks!  We have received a lot of positive feedback about our unique image. We agreed right away on our automotive image.  ( For your readers who have not yet seen our products, our logo is shaped like the grill of a car.  Our lip balms are packaged in 2 oz. black pots that resemble tires.  The products have fun auto-inspired names like “Eat Dust” (caramel), “Road Rage” (mint), “Joy Ride” (raspberry) and “High Beam” (vanilla). ) Cindy and I were both born and raised in the Detroit area.  Detroit is nick-named the “Motor City”, because Chrysler, General Motors and Ford Motor Company are located here.  Cindy and I have many relatives and friends who are employed by of the of “Big 3” car companies.  Detroit is an auto-licious city.  Metro-Detroiters also have a great sense of style.  We are constantly inspired by the cool people who live and work in the Detroit area.  Our products capture the spirit of Detroit; a tough outer shell with a soft inner beauty. "
Text Box: BD- Please tell us a little about Motor City Makeup
Natalie- "Motor City Makeup is a turbo-charged cosmetic company that blends high quality ingredients with automotive inspired packaging.  It was founded by Cindy Lehrer, a licensed esthetician/makeup artist in the Detroit area and myself (a Registered Nurse who specializes in skin care).  We combined our expertise and our dream to develop a quality cosmetic line.  Cindy and I decided to start with lip products as it is the one piece of makeup that can change a face instantly.  After a tireless year of working with cosmetic chemists, graphic artists and other professionals, we had created our revved up  lip products…Vitamin E Lip Balms and Premium Lip Glosses."

Text Box:  Here at BeautyDiary, we love packaging. Packaging can either make or break the product in my opinion. I can't count the number of times a bottle of shampoo has been ousted out of my shower because I hate the bottle, and the same goes for every other kind of product. But when you come across a packaging so unique, it deserves some recognition! We have seen a beauty trend recently that includes the big wide world of cars. The auto industry is a mystery for a lot of women, so when we spotted auto inspired products...we were intrigued. And one look at these cute products, and you will have no doubt that what your makeup looks like in the package is almost as important as what it looks like on.
